🌟Befriending Numbers A 50 Count Journey to Calm
From financial stress to inner peace, one number at a time
When I woke up at 3:30 AM worrying about debt, income, and retirement, I used the meditation I was using for this week's Happy Money Club. I counted down from fifty to zero. To be honest, it seemed a little odd. I was calling upon numbers to help me calm my nervous system about other numbers.
But I was using them differently. Rather than worrying about how I was going to pay off debts, raise my income, or have enough to retire, I was simply being with numbers. The practice of counting down from fifty, being with each number, allowed me to shift from stress to calm.
Exactly as the practice was intended to do.
I was still up for a couple more hours, but I wasn't stressing about the numbers. When I did finally drift back to sleep, numbers weren't swirling through my mind.
